New Year's Resolutions

Happy New Years!

Here's hoping this next year will be nothing like the last.

Get a job, get a girlfriend, lose weight, get in shape, blah, blah, blah... I get a sense of déjà vu around this time every year for some strange reason.

For my weight loss, I use a combination of intermittent fasting and calorie counting. For the intermittent fasting, I only eat during an eight-hour period between 2pm and 10pm. Outside those hours, I consume only water. When I do eat, I use a calorie counting app on my iPhone, called LoseIt!, to make sure my daily caloric intake is at a deficit. The recommended daily calories to maintain my current weight at 200-lbs, is approximately 2500 calories. If I try to lose 2-lbs per week and, considering 3500 calories is equivalent to one pound of fat, my daily calorie intake needs to be 1500 calories. However, the minimum daily calories for a man is 1800 calories so I don't feel bad about getting between 1500-1800 calories per day within an eight-hour period.

Why did I create a personal website? Something to do in my free time, keep my mind stimulated, act like a portfolio to show potential employers, etc.
